Marco Antonio is originally from Chalchihuites in the state of Zacatecas, where he grew up until he was 14 years old when he entered the Agricultural Preparatory of the Chapingo Autonomous University, a leading educational institution.
At the age of 18 he moved to Japan thanks to a scholarship to study Agribusiness at the Tokyo University of Agriculture, where he completed his master's degree, focusing his academic research on knowledge management in agriculture.
After 6 years of study, Marco Antonio began his career at Zensho Holdings, the most important company in the food industry in Japan. For 4 years, Zensho offers you the tools necessary to manage a leading company.
THE RETURN TO MEXICO
In 2015, at the age of 30, Marco Antonio returned and settled in his native Chalchihuites, where he began operating Rancho Yume and laying the foundations for what would be the current Yume business model. Through the operation of the ranch, the organization of producers, the sale of agricultural inputs and the marketing of grains and livestock, Marco Antonio understands what it is to be a producer in the Mexican rural sector and the many barriers that must be overcome to achieve a successful business.
Since 2019, Marco Antonio began the development of the current YumeAgro business model, which has been refined until reaching its "product-market fit" in 2024, based on the integration of the value chain, focusing efforts on sustainability. , quality and innovation.
